Conclave is the largest event many members will attend outside of a national event. It provides a unique experience for hundreds of members, at a scale larger than individual lodge events. Promoting Conclave creates a unique challenge, as the event is largely a mystery to members who have never attended a conclave before. Consider the following:
- Once an arrowman attends a conclave, they are likely to return in following years
- Vigil honor members make up the highest percentage of attendees
- Adults make up the highest percentage of attendees
The statistics from past Conclaves allows us to focus on two areas:
- Promoting Conclave to, and educating new members, and arrowman who have never attended
Convlave in the past, about the fun experience attending Conclave can be.
- Reminding those who have already attended, about the fun of Conclave and most importantly notifying them of the date and pertinent registration information.
Using different methods, we can quickly and efficiently promote and provide information about Conclave 2008.
Many of OA members can attribute to their involvement in the OA to a personal invitation to attend an event (ask Clint about this). Personally asking someone to attend will go further than any number of flyers. So be that person and inpire someone who could be a future National Chief to attend Conclave 2008.
In addition, the following resources can also be used to help get the word out, especially to those who have already attended a Conclave.
Last but not least, one underemphasized recruitment tool is the 10 dollar discount offered to all arrowmen who have gone through there ordeal since Conclave 2007.
