What is it? Conclave is a fun weekend of training, and inter-lodge competition at the section level.
Who can go? Any Arrowman in good standing with their lodge is eligible to attend conclave, no matter what section your lodge is part of.
Where is it? Coast Guard Island Alameda is the site for Conclave 2008. As an active coast guard facility it hosts many opportunities for a unique experience such as coast guard cutters, and other special facilities unique to the site.
When? April 25-27, 2008. Conclave activities usually last from around 7 o’clock Friday night to about 10 o’clock Sunday morning.
What will I do? Conclave begins Friday evening with an opening show. The next morning is spent training members on a variety of topics relevant to the OA, and helpful for you as a leader in your home unit. In the afternoon, all bets are off as members take part in competitions of all sorts, and relax on the midway. The day ends with Section elections and a closing show.
Can I attain brotherhood honor at this event? Yes, those who fulfill the requirements for brotherhood honor can go through their ceremony, performed by the number one ceremonialists in the whole section.
What is training like? Coming soon
What competitions are there? There are competitions for everyone; spend the afternoon in the sand painting competition, or compete for the dance plaque. If ceremonies are your thing, compete and receive feedback on your performance. For the athlete in everyone, test your skills in Indian handball or dodge ball.
How much does it cost? New Arrowmen: $30, Early registration: $40, On-site: $50
